## What We Do

Southern Nuclear Operating Company is a subsidiary of Southern Company that operates nuclear power plants on behalf of Alabama Power and Georgia Power, including the Farley, Hatch, and Vogtle nuclear stations. It managed the licensing and construction of new reactor units at Plant Vogtle, among the first new nuclear reactors built in the U.S. in over 30 years.
