## What We Do

Santee Cooper (legally the South Carolina Public Service Authority) is a state-owned electric and water utility created in 1934 as a New Deal-era rural electrification and public works project. It serves electricity and water customers across South Carolina and manages the Santee Cooper lakes, Marion and Moultrie.
