## What We Do

Salt River Project (SRP) is the umbrella name for two Arizona entities — a government-owned electric utility district and a water-user cooperative — that jointly provide electricity and water to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Founded in the early 20th century around federal reclamation projects on the Salt and Verde Rivers, SRP today operates dams, reservoirs, canals, and power plants serving millions of central Arizona residents.
