Penfield Books (originally Penfield Press) is a small independent publisher and book distributor based in Iowa City, Iowa, specializing in books of ethnic heritage (Scandinavian, Czech, German, Irish, and other backgrounds) as well as Iowa history, folklore, and photography titles. It was founded in 1979 by photographer and publisher Joan Liffring-Zug Bourret and has continued under family ownership since her death in 2022.
