Payless (formerly Payless ShoeSource) is an American discount footwear retailer founded in 1956. After filing for bankruptcy twice (2017 and 2019) and closing all of its roughly 2,300 U.S. and Canadian stores, it relaunched in 2020 as primarily an e-commerce brand under the shortened name "Payless," while retaining international store operations in several countries.
