Murphy Oil Corporation is an American energy company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids, with operations in the United States, Canada, and internationally. It trades on the NYSE under the ticker MUR and relocated its headquarters to Houston, Texas in 2020. It was formerly the parent of the Murphy USA retail gas station chain until spinning that business off as an independent public company in 2013.
