## What We Do

Kurzweil Educational Systems (now branded Kurzweil Education) develops assistive and educational technology software, notably Kurzweil 3000 and Kurzweil 1000, which provide text-to-speech, OCR, and writing support tools for students and individuals with dyslexia, visual impairments, and other learning differences. Founded in 1996 building on Ray Kurzweil's earlier reading-machine technology, it has been owned since 2005 by Cambium Learning Group, an education technology company based in Dallas, Texas.
