## What We Do

Holden Foundation Seeds researches and produces foundation (parent) inbred corn lines used to create hybrid seed corn. Founded in 1937 in Williamsburg, Iowa, its proprietary germplasm has historically been used in hybrids planted on roughly a third or more of U.S. corn acreage; it was acquired by Monsanto in 1997 and is now part of Bayer Crop Science.
