## What We Do

GM Financial (legally General Motors Financial Company, Inc.) is the wholly owned captive finance arm of General Motors, providing auto loans, leases, and commercial floorplan financing to GM dealers and customers in the U.S., Latin America, Canada, and China. It was originally founded as AmeriCredit Corporation and was acquired by General Motors in 2010 for approximately $3.5 billion, after which it was renamed GM Financial.
