Cox Communications is an American digital cable television, broadband internet, and telecommunications provider headquartered near Atlanta, Georgia, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises. It is the third-largest U.S. cable provider, serving about 6.5 million customers with video, internet, phone, and home security/automation services. In 2025 Cox announced a merger with Charter Communications (FCC-approved February 2026, expected to close mid-2026), under which the combined company keeps the Cox Communications name while adopting Charter's Spectrum consumer branding.
