## What We Do

Authorize.Net is a U.S.-based payment gateway service that lets merchants accept credit card and electronic check payments online. Founded in 1996, it was acquired through a series of owners before being purchased by Visa Inc. in 2010, and today serves mainly small and medium-sized businesses via its APIs and fraud-protection tools.
