AMSOIL INC. is an American manufacturer of synthetic motor oils, lubricants, and filters, founded in 1969 by Albert J. Amatuzio. In 1972 its 10W-40 synthetic motor oil became the first synthetic motor oil to meet API requirements, and the company sells through an independent dealer network.
