Systems Performance Engineers optimize the infrastructure and resource allocation that enable software systems to run efficiently, focusing on network performance, throughput, and latency in complex computing environments. The role involves analyzing system bottlenecks, tuning configurations, and sometimes writing code to test and improve performance across distributed systems, using tools like profilers, monitoring platforms, and Linux-level diagnostics. This position suits detail-oriented problem-solvers with strong technical foundations in networking, operating systems, or distributed systems who enjoy investigative work and can think systematically about tradeoffs between speed, resource usage, and stability.
