## Required

- 5+ years hands-on engineering experience in systems software
- 2+ years directly managing software engineers
- Experience shipping multi-phase projects against fixed deadlines
- Host agent, telemetry collector, daemon, or performance-sensitive software development
- Kubernetes and Helm deployment experience
- Track record of delivering against deadlines with honest risk assessment
- Cross-functional communication and alignment across teams

## Nice to have

- Experience building or operating host-level agents at fleet scale with safe rollouts and canarying
- Hardware platform bring-up or new product introduction experience
- Knowledge of agent internals: collection scheduling, buffering, backpressure, local spooling
- Data plane experience in cloud provider environments: hypervisors, host networking, storage services
- Observability domain expertise: metrics pipelines, log pipelines, time series storage
- Experience operating software in GPU or accelerated computing environments
- Kernel-level telemetry experience: eBPF, perf, tracing
- Experience managing or scaling a team through growth
