- Bachelor's degree in STEM, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and operating production systems at scale
- Strong expertise in C and C++
- Experience developing on Linux systems (multithreading, memory management, IPC)
- Ability to build and maintain performance-critical systems
- Ability to debug complex issues using tools like gdb and coredumps
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Self-starter who operates independently with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

## Nice to have

- Experience with network protocols (HTTP, SMB, Kerberos, TLS, Microsoft protocols)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) or distributed systems
- Experience with observability, on-call practices, and production systems
