Honeycomb seeks a senior field engineer to partner with customers on observability strategy and execution, designing telemetry architectures and building production outcomes while advising engineering teams on instrumentation and data practices. ## Required

- Deep understanding of OpenTelemetry and instrumentation ecosystem
- Experience in Software Development or System Operations
- Fluency in at least one of: Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, or .NET
- Strong telemetry data modeling intuition
- Ability to understand application architecture for effective instrumentation
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills

## Nice to have

- Previous experience in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, or Consulting
