- 2–4 years' experience in histology or tissue preparation
- ability to communicate in English orally and in writing
- ability to work independently and make decisions
- ability to use critical thinking skills and organize work

## Nice to have

- Associate's degree
- HT or HTL (ASCP) certification
- experience with gross descriptions on biopsy specimens
- experience with standard office equipment (phone, fax, copy machine, scanner, email/voicemail)
- experience with Windows-based office technology
- EMR experience
