## Required

- Professional assessment writing or editing experience
- Experience authoring tech-enhanced items in an assessment management system
- Understanding of well-composed and balanced assessment items
- Ability to write K-12 assessment items aligned to standards
- Knowledge of Depth of Knowledge, rigor, differentiation, text complexity, and readability
- Subject-matter expertise in ELA, math, science, or social studies
- Ability to provide constructive feedback on assessment design

## Nice to have

- Former teaching experience
- Experience working with educational publishers
