## Required

- 3+ years running production networks in ISP, enterprise, or data center environment
- Deep TCP/IP knowledge including BGP path selection and packet capture analysis
- Hands-on experience with OSPF, iBGP/eBGP, VRFs, PBR, STP/RSTP, VRRP, and link aggregation
- Tunneling protocols: GRE, IPIP, IPSec
- Firewall administration across vendor platforms and Linux iptables/firewall
- Strong Linux expertise including network stack, interfaces, routing tables, netfilter, socket state, and tcpdump
- Sufficient server-side knowledge to follow problems across bare metal, hypervisors, and containers
- Production experience with Juniper routing, switching, and security platforms

## Nice to have

- EVPN/VXLAN, MC-LAG, ECMP, MPLS
- High availability and clustering
- Load balancing platforms like A10, F5, IPVS
- Scripting for workflow automation with Bash, Python, NETCONF, PyEZ, or Ansible
- Cloud networking experience
- Familiarity with NetBox, Zabbix, VictoriaMetrics, or Grafana
- Experience using AI assistants on real engineering work
