## Summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a CNC programmer to write and optimize programs for 5-axis machines producing aerospace components for their satellite manufacturing facility in Midland, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of multi-axis CNC experience who can work independently, troubleshoot machining issues, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Blueprint Reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Mastercam

## Required

- 2–5+ years programming and operating 5-axis CNC machines
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform machine setups independently
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments

## Nice to have

- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems, G-code, or Mastercam
- Experience machining aluminum, composites, or aerospace alloys
- Post processor development
- Technical certification beyond high school
