## Required

- 8–12 years mechanical engineering experience
- 5+ years developing for production rotating electrical machines, electronics packaging, or mechanical devices for industrial/aerospace applications
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical modeling
- Proficiency with ANSYS for structural and fatigue analysis
- Proficiency with ANSYS Icepack for thermal analysis
- Experience developing mechanical subsystem requirements per MIL-STD 961D or equivalent
- Experience with bonding techniques for extreme environmental conditions
- Experience with electrical machine manufacturing methodologies
- Experience creating and maintaining product documentation trees and bills of materials
- Experience with test and measurement techniques including torque transducer calibration
- Experience with thermal management tradeoffs and material selection
- U.S. person status (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or export license approval for ITAR/EAR compliance

## Nice to have

- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Senior membership or higher in an international engineering society such as ASME
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810
- Familiarity with MIL-STD 961D standards for subsystem specifications
