## Required

- 2+ years professional software engineering experience with independent delivery
- Backend development using Java or Groovy in production
- Web application development with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Database experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL stores
- Ability to independently own and ship story-sized work
- Working familiarity with event-driven systems or messaging
- Version control with Git
- Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Accurate effort estimation and proactive communication
- Constructive code review skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent

## Nice to have

- Healthcare or life sciences industry experience
- Test framework experience with Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or Jest
- Cloud platform experience with AWS
- Production system support and incident response
- Design document or technical specification writing
- Feature flag and progressive rollout experience
