Boeing is hiring Aircraft Assembly Mechanics to support 787 production at their North Charleston facility, performing electrical, system, and seal/wing assembly work on advanced aircraft. ## Required

- 1+ year manufacturing, technical, or mechanical experience
- 1+ year experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
- 1+ year software application experience (email, internet, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work variable shifts
- Ability to walk constantly and stand 6-8 hours daily
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to bend and twist frequently up to 6 hours daily
- Ability to squat and kneel
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to push/pull up to 45 pounds
- Ability to reach overhead up to 6 hours daily
- Work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment
- Obtain and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications if required
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Pass Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout assessment
- Complete foundational training and obtain required certifications
- U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Pass conflict of interest assessment
- Pass drug screening

## Nice to have

- 3+ years related work experience or equivalent education/experience
- 3+ years manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field experience
- 3+ years aerospace experience with aircraft system components
- 3+ years automotive/diesel/heavy equipment mechanical experience
- 3+ years wire routing and connector experience
- 3+ years sealant application experience
