## Required

- PhD in drug discovery, muscle biology, physiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in drug discovery or muscle biology
- Deep expertise in muscle biology and disease pathophysiology
- Hands-on laboratory expertise with commitment to 30% active lab presence
- Experience with in vivo muscle function assessments including evoked force and treadmill testing
- Background in assay development and translational biomarkers for drug discovery
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary research programs in matrixed environments
- Ability to present scientific data and strategy to governance and senior leadership
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across functional teams
- Scientific publications in high-impact journals, patents, or external recognition

## Nice to have

- Experience in muscle biology and drug development
- Hands-on experience with gene-based or RNA-based therapeutics including LNP/mRNA, ASO, or siRNA
- Experience with small-molecule drug discovery including target validation through preclinical characterization
- Ability to design and interpret pharmacology, PK/PD, and efficacy studies
