## Required

- 6+ years software engineering experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of Scala, Java, or other JVM languages supporting functional programming
- Experience building distributed systems using microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures
- Deep understanding of agile processes and software development lifecycle including TDD/BDD and CI/CD
- Experience with MySQL and RDS database technologies
- Proven ability to design and build highly available and scalable systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical presentations
- Professional experience developing large-scale consumer-facing applications

## Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with container technologies and infrastructure as code
- Previous experience in innovative, high-growth environments
