## Required

- 5+ years building highly scalable distributed systems applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
- Systems design fundamentals with focus on consistency, availability, and failure handling
- Experience with infrastructure orchestration across compute, networking, and storage
- Linux internals knowledge (cgroups, namespaces)
- Container runtime experience (e.g., containerd)
- Container Storage Interface (CSI) knowledge
- Ability to work independently on complex problems and collaborate across teams

## Nice to have

- Hands-on experience building or operating Kubernetes-based systems
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes control plane architecture (API server, Persistent Volumes, etcd, controller-manager)
- Experience extending the Kubernetes API with declarative APIs and reconciliation loops
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering
