## Summary

This role owns the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) process for growing mercury cadmium telluride wafers used in infrared detectors and focal plane arrays. You'll handle equipment operation and maintenance, develop growth recipes, characterize materials, and drive process improvements for a leading supplier of space-grade infrared sensors.

## Required

- Hands-on MBE growth experience with semiconductors
- MBE tool maintenance and repair experience
- PhD or MS in Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on III-V or II-VI semiconductor MBE growth and characterization
- US Citizenship

## Nice to have

- Direct HgCdTe growth experience
- Infrared detector performance modeling
- MBE growth in a production setting
- Experience correlating detector performance to MBE and processing parameters
