## Summary

As a Senior Platform Architect for Temporal's Technical Services team, you'll serve as the technical owner for customer engagements from initial purchase through stable production, establishing reliability standards and best practices while building scalable delivery patterns. This role suits experienced software or solutions engineers who excel at solving complex distributed systems challenges and want to drive customer success through deep technical partnership.

## Required

- 6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering principles
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python)
- Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale
- Ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers through resolution
- Customer-facing skills with ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and team events
- Must reside in the Western Time Zone

## Nice to have

- Prior experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms
- Experience with observability tools and practices for distributed systems
- Background in professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering roles
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Contributions to open source projects or developer communities
- Experience designing and delivering technical training or workshops
