## Required

- Four-year technical education or equivalent environmental knowledge
- Valid driver's license
- Waste Disposal Facility Operator III certification (Industrial Landfill)
- Waste Disposal Facility Operator II certification (Landfill Operator)
- Waste Disposal Facility Operator IV certification (Land application)
- Wastewater Operator Certificate Class D
- ND State Certified in Visual Opacity Readings (within first year)
- In-depth knowledge of factory environmental permits
- Understanding of environmental law and regulations

## Nice to have

- NDSHD Wastewater Operator Training (for some locations)
- Experience with factory operations and processes
- Leadership and team supervision experience
