- 7+ years professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend focus with modern frameworks (Ruby on Rails or Python)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Design and operation of distributed systems with high reliability and data integrity
- Experience with data pipelines, event-driven architectures, or real-time processing
- Deep commitment to reliability, testing, and documentation
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

## Nice to have

- Experience in healthcare systems, medical devices, or regulated environments (HIPAA, FDA)
- Device integration experience such as CGMs, wearables, or remote monitoring
- Background in data quality, validation, or reconciliation systems
- Experience building platforms or infrastructure used by multiple teams
- Cloud platform (AWS) and modern CI/CD experience
