## Summary

Supabase seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain authentication features in their Postgres development platform, working across Go backend services and TypeScript client libraries. This role suits experienced backend engineers with strong authentication systems knowledge who want to impact a widely-used developer tool at scale.

## Required

- 4+ years professional Go experience in production
- 2+ years working on authentication systems at scale
- Strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL or MySQL)

## Nice to have

- Strong TypeScript knowledge alongside Go
- Web technology fundamentals (cookies, sessions, JWT, HTTP, browser APIs)
- Deep authentication security knowledge (passwords, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, cryptography)
- Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks and traditional web frameworks
- Good technical writing skills for RFC process
- Hands-on experience building and operating services at scale
- Systems-level understanding in Go (memory management, concurrency, optimization)
- Kubernetes and AWS production experience
- Observability practices (metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, alerting)
- Safe database schema migration experience at scale
