## Required

- Lead and grow a software engineering team as a people manager with strong hands-on IC background
- Engage in design and architecture discussions for backend, distributed, and event-driven systems
- Familiar with modern integration platform technologies including APIs, webhooks, and message-driven architectures
- Track record recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining engineers
- Deliver complex platform and backend projects managing scope, risk, and stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, and external partners
- Understand correctness-critical distributed systems concepts like idempotency and safe migrations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
- Drive operational excellence including on-call health, observability, and incident management

## Nice to have

- Experience managing teams building integrations, platforms, or developer-facing services
- Experience integrating with Salesforce, particularly nonprofit products like NPC, NPSP, or Experience Cloud
- Familiarity with durable execution or workflow orchestration technologies
- Led teams through re-platforming or large-scale migrations
- Familiarity with iPaaS platforms
- Experience establishing conventions enabling AI coding agents to contribute safely at scale
