- Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge
- Expert-level Linux OS knowledge including memory management, CPU shielding, and scheduling
- Expert networking knowledge including TCP/IP and UDP
- Experience with source control, bug tracking, and CI/CD

## Nice to have

- Systems-level programming experience with synchronization primitives and memory management
- Experience with different inter-process communication methods
- Experience with message passing protocols like flatbuffer or protobuf
