## Required

- U.S. citizenship
- Completed FLETC Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP), USCP Basic Agent Training Program (BATP), or equivalent from FBI, DEA, or U.S. Postal Inspection Service
- Minimum five years of experience in 1811 series (waived for prior USCP employees)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license with no revocations or suspensions in past year
- Pass comprehensive criminal history check covering past 10 years
- Pass credit check and not be in default on federal student loans
- Pass full field background investigation including employment, residential, and personal references
- Pass polygraph examination
- Pass psychological and medical examinations
- Pass fingerprint check with FBI
- Not convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence
- Age under 58 at time of appointment
- Full and unrestricted duty status at time of application and appointment
- Male applicants must be registered for Selective Service
- Complete all required training
- Complete probationary period
