## Required

- 5-7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience at a high-growth company
- Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance including tax withholding, filings, wage-and-hour rules, garnishments, and year-end reporting
- Experience with payroll systems and third-party providers like Rippling, Gusto, ADP, or Workday
- Strong payroll accounting skills and GL reconciliation
- Demonstrated use of AI and automation to improve payroll accuracy
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential matters
- Builder's mindset with ability to establish processes and infrastructure

## Nice to have

- CPP or FPC certification
- International payroll compliance experience via third-party EOR
- Experience bringing payroll in-house or standing up payroll from scratch
- Equity and stock-based compensation payroll knowledge (RSUs, options, ESPP)
- Global or multi-entity payroll exposure
- Background in consumer tech or high-growth environments
