Eight Sleep seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative electromechanical sleep fitness products from concept through high-volume manufacturing. You'll own significant technical decisions across hardware design, testing, and production ramp, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment committed to delivering cutting-edge consumer products.

## Required

- 8+ years of consumer product design experience
- Knowledge of injection molding and sheet metal forming
- Experience with sensor and electronics integration
- Track record of shipping high-volume consumer products
- Manufacturing support experience in Asia
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and simulation tools
- Understanding of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
- Understanding of tolerance analysis and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
- Solid understanding of root cause analysis and quality measuring techniques
- BSME or equivalent

## Nice to have

- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Willingness to travel to China for manufacturing support
