## Required

- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical discipline
- 15+ years of progressive EH&S experience
- 5+ years in senior leadership role (Director or above) at defense, aerospace, or energetics manufacturing
- Expertise in DoD explosive safety programs including DoD 4145.26
- Hands-on experience managing explosive safety programs for ordnance, rocket motors, propellants, or energetic materials
- Knowledge of hypergolic propellants (hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine, unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine)
- Experience managing environmental compliance under RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act in industrial manufacturing
- Ability to interface with government safety representatives, OSHA, EPA, ATF, and state agencies
- Proven track record building and leading multi-site EH&S teams in high-rate production
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent professional safety certification

## Nice to have

- Master's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification
- Experience as DoD Explosive Safety Officer (ESO) or equivalent government/contractor role
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Prior experience at prime defense contractor or aerospace OEM under DoD contracts
- Familiarity with liquid propulsion systems and solid rocket motor handling
- Experience standing up EH&S programs from early operations through full-rate production at scaling company
- Working knowledge of ATF and BATFE explosive permit requirements and Federal Explosives License
- Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management or EPA Risk Management Program for hazardous chemicals
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition programs and safety data package requirements
- Experience managing EH&S due diligence for M&A or site expansions
- Track record presenting EH&S programs to executive leadership and Boards
