## Summary

Lead the establishment and operation of a world-class Quality Control organization at Moderna's Laval manufacturing facility, overseeing analytical testing, microbiology, environmental monitoring, and stability programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role suits an experienced QC leader with deep biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing expertise who can drive operational excellence, manage complex technical teams, and navigate regulatory requirements in a fast-growing, innovative environment.

## Required

- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry or related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Control in commercial cGMP biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
- Minimum 4-6 years' leadership experience managing technical teams and laboratory operations
- Fluency in French and English
- Knowledge of FDA, Health Canada, EMA, ICH, ISPE, ASTM and GxP regulations
- Experience with analytical testing, method transfers, qualification, validation and method lifecycle management
- Expertise in quality systems including deviation management, OOS/OOT investigations, CAPA, change controls, risk assessment and data integrity
- On-site, full-time presence at Laval facility; not eligible for remote work
- Minimum 2 years of work authorization

## Nice to have

- Knowledge of environmental monitoring, contamination control strategies and critical utilities surveillance in regulated GMP environments
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and health authority interactions
- Knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, bioassay, environmental monitoring and stability programs
- Experience managing Quality Control activities with CMOs, CTLs and external partners
- Success leading complex analytical projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and chromatographic platforms
- Advanced English proficiency; other languages an asset
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and complex problem-solving in dynamic, matrix environments
