- 8+ years of AI/ML research or applied science experience
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Math, Physics, or equivalent
- 4+ years of professional deep learning framework experience (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow)
- 2+ years of deep expertise in LLMs or VLMs, including training, alignment, or agentic reasoning
- Strong publication record at top AI venues or proven track record of shipping industry-defining AI innovations

## Nice to have

- Reinforcement learning, tool-use, or multi-agent systems background
- Experience conducting research under real-world constraints (latency, cost, privacy)
- Experience building research agendas from the ground up and leading technical teams
- Exceptional ability to communicate research breakthroughs to product and executive stakeholders
- Deep commitment to developing explainable, fair, and safe AI
