## Required

- 6+ years designing, developing, and managing mission-critical production workloads on Aurora MySQL, RDS MySQL, and cloud native databases
- 6+ years database architecture, design, replication, clustering, and HA/DR experience
- 2+ years backend development with modern programming languages (Golang, Python, Java)
- 4+ years hands-on AWS cloud experience
- 4+ years managing clustered, highly-available database services on Linux
- 5+ years modern DevOps technologies and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
- U.S. citizen (naturalized or native)

## Nice to have

- DoD 8570/8140 compliance with IAT Level II certification and current Computing Environment credential
- One approved specialty certification (CompTIA CySA+, GICSP, CASP+)
- Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly security clearance
- Knowledge of Terraform, Chef, Ansible
- Familiarity with Ceph Storage, Gluster, Orchestrator for MySQL, Percona MHA, Percona Galera, Vitess, Pure Storage
- BS/MS degree in computer science
