## Summary

This role leads AI research on robot learning at Agility, developing foundation models and policies that enable humanoid robots to perform real-world tasks in warehouses and manufacturing. You'll mentor junior researchers, establish team standards, and drive both technical innovation and production deployment of imitation and reinforcement learning systems.

## Required

- 7+ years software engineering and/or AI/robotics experience
- 3+ years hands-on experience with learning-from-demonstration, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, foundation models, or robot learning systems in real-world or simulated environments
- Proven mentorship of junior engineers or researchers
- Track record leading complex technical initiatives from research through deployment
- Strong ability to translate research problems into executable work for teams
- Python proficiency
- Deep learning framework experience such as PyTorch
- Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
- US work authorization

## Nice to have

- PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
- Publications in top ML or robotics conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CoRL, RSS, ICRA)
- Familiarity with robot simulation environments and sim-to-real transfer techniques
- Experience with modern reinforcement learning for locomotion, manipulation, and whole-body control
- High-quality C++ programming experience
