## Required

- 17+ years experience with B.S. in related field, OR 15+ years with M.S., OR 12+ years with Ph.D.
- Experience building and supporting very high scale data platform processing minimum hundreds of TB/day
- Significant experience performance-tuning or developing internals within Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Pinot or equivalent streaming/OLAP system
- Production experience building Spark- or Flink-based self-service data platforms or equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one Apache Hadoop ecosystem technology (Spark, Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, Delta Lake, Presto, Trino, Pinot, Druid)
- 3+ years coding in Java, Scala, Kotlin or other JVM language
- Production experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Expertise with multiple big data frameworks at multi-petabyte scale
- Expertise with distributed systems design and software development lifecycle
- Test driven development discipline
- Linux administration proficiency
- Experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and drive outcomes
- Ability to work effectively with remote teams

## Nice to have

- Familiarity with Go
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or Mesos
- Production experience with Flink as runtime for self-service platform
