This role bridges design and engineering to build infrastructure for AI-native product development, where you'll encode design standards into systems that empower both human teams and AI agents to ship cohesive, high-quality experiences. You'll combine deep design sensibility with production coding skills to transform how Mixpanel designs, prototypes, and ships as artificial intelligence changes product workflows.

## Required

- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Next.js)
- Experience building or overhauling design systems at scale
- Strong design sensibility with focus on craft, consistency, and interaction quality
- Fluency in AI-assisted design workflows including canvas-to-code and code-to-canvas tools
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Storybook, VSCode, Chromatic, and GitHub
- Track record collaborating across design and engineering roles
- High autonomy in setting direction and managing complex projects
- 8+ years in design engineering, UX engineering, design technology, or related hybrid role

## Nice to have

- Experience designing or building data visualizations
- Background in brand or product design
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2, ARIA patterns, semantic HTML, APCA, accessible data visualization)
- Experience in product analytics or developer-focused product environments
