- Big data ecosystem knowledge (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL)
- Schema design and data modeling for cloud environments

## Nice to have

- Master's degree
- Experience with Applications Development Manager role
- Familiarity with data formats like Avro, Parquet, CSV, JSON
- Unix/Linux and shell scripting proficiency
- Query engines like Trino, Presto, or Starburst
- Data lineage and metadata management tools (Collibra, Informatica)
- Reverse engineering legacy code and documentation
- Change management experience migrating from legacy BI to modern engines
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database fundamentals
