Replit seeks a VP or Director of Communications to build and lead its communications function as the company scales into AI and enterprise markets. This role is for a strategic, creative leader who can develop compelling narratives around agentic software creation, manage media and analyst relations globally, and keep Replit prominent in conversations about AI, developer tools, and the future of work.

## Required

- 12+ years communications/PR/corporate affairs experience (Director level) or 15+ years (VP level)
- Built, scaled, or significantly expanded communications function at fast-growing tech company or leading institution
- Proven work with founders, CEOs, and senior executives
- Strong relationships with technology, business, enterprise, AI, developer, and policy media
- Managed external agencies and global communications programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences
- Understanding of AI landscape and its impact on software development
- Hands-on fluency with AI and agentic tools
- Track record of flagship thought leadership and industry-shaping ideas
- Experience earning third-party validation for emerging technology
- Guided communications through major inflection points
- Experience across external communications, internal communications, media relations, executive communications, crisis communications, and strategic messaging
- Translate complex technical ideas into clear, compelling stories
- Cross-functional leadership and influence across product, engineering, sales, marketing, legal, policy, finance, and people
- Strong judgment in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
- Creative, resourceful mindset
