## Required

- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9 grade level in retail management, OR a Ph.D. in business administration, public administration, or agricultural economics, OR a combination of specialized experience and education
- Experience managing a commissary store, supermarket, retail food store, or department within one
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally over 40 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb for prolonged periods
- Time-in-grade: 52 weeks of federal service at or equivalent to GS-9 for current/former federal employees
- 90 days of federal civilian service since competitive appointment for current federal employees

## Nice to have

- Knowledge of grocery, meats, and produce supply operations
- Knowledge of front-end operations
- Experience developing, interpreting, or applying policies and procedures for retail food stores
- Technical advice capability on merchandising and operational matters
