- MS or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience with demonstrated causal inference expertise
- 5+ years applying statistical modeling to product or business problems
- Hands-on causal inference experience with judgment to select appropriate methods
- Survival analysis or retention modeling experience
- Python fluency across analytical stack
- Time-series forecasting experience with classical and modern methods
- Clustering and similarity methods for behavioral data
- Strong statistical communication skills
- SQL fluency for data exploration and validation
- Comfort balancing analytical rigor with practical delivery in a product environment

## Nice to have

- Large-scale behavioral event data experience
- Feature engineering from raw event streams
- Structural equation modeling or causal DAGs knowledge
- Knowledge of productionizing offline batch analyses
- Direct experience in production codebases with engineers
- Analytics, observability, or growth platform background
- Experience evaluating LLM-generated explanations against statistical outputs
- Comfort with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor
