- Pass formal law enforcement training school and obtain DoD Peace Officer Standardization and Training Certification
- Obtain and maintain required law enforcement certifications and qualifications (Installation Entry Controller, Patrolman/Security Response Team, Alarm Monitor, BDOC Controller/Dispatcher)
- Valid driver's license
- Pass duty position evaluations in specified order
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to wear body armor, protective gear, and uniform to standards
- Ability to perform active shooter response and SWAT tactics while wearing protective equipment
- Obtain and maintain government travel card
- Meet Air Force time-in-grade requirements
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and federal jurisdiction laws
- Knowledge of appropriate use of force and self-defense techniques
- Ability to supervise and assign work to subordinate officers
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
