## Summary

Design and operate distributed systems and services that power Supabase's Postgres platform, working in TypeScript and Go to handle massive scale, reliability, and cost efficiency. This role suits experienced backend engineers comfortable with cloud infrastructure, multi-tenant systems, and on-call responsibilities who want to work on foundational platform problems.

## Required

- 5+ years building production services in TypeScript and/or Go
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems with knowledge of consistency, fault tolerance, partitioning, and consensus
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures and API design
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Comfortable with on-call rotations for production systems

## Nice to have

- Experience with Postgres internals, logical replication, or CDC pipelines
- Experience with service meshes, workload identity, or zero-trust networking
- Background in performance engineering and capacity planning
- Open source contributions in systems, databases, or runtime tooling
