## Summary

CrowdStrike is building a FinOps practice and seeking an engineer to design and implement automated cost management solutions across their cloud infrastructure, working across product and platform teams. This role suits someone with strong cloud and infrastructure experience who wants to establish technical foundations for cost optimization at scale.

## Required

- U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status (CJIS clearance eligible)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with cloud infrastructure focus
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cost management tools
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

## Nice to have

- FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months
- Experience in cybersecurity or SaaS industry
- Background with commitment-based discount programs (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, CUDs)
- Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes
- Familiarity with cost optimization tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.)
- Knowledge of database optimization and performance tuning
- Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows
